Cytosport Muscle Milk is a blended whey protein containing whey isolate and concentrate. It does however contain artificial sweeteners in and some fillers. The amount of cholesterol while not high was 15 mg, you should really be looking for single figures when buying a protein powder.
The protein content was also disappointing coming in at 16g per 35g serving. That equates to a protein percentage of only 45%.
It was reasonably priced at $.61 per oz.
It comes in a whopping 15 different flavors, but the one I tested was chocolate milk. It mixes well and tastes OK if a little artificial.
This scores just above average on most of the review sites that I’ve looked into and on Amazon scores a very high 4.5 stars. However if you read a lot of the reviews especially the Amazon ones, it scores high marks mainly due to its’ reasonable price and the fact it doesn’t taste bad. A lot of the bad reviews quite rightly give the product low marks due to the amount of artificial additives and fillers and fairly high cholesterol content. Not the worst protein powder in the world, but there are definitely better choices out there.
